A fun introduction to “Pickin’ in the Round,” this class teaches string players how to play seamlessly with others in any setting… And here in Portland, we love a good bluegrass circle.
You’ll learn general rhythm techniques, etiquette, and common chord progressions in folk, bluegrass, and popular music, ALL while learning how to navigate the world’s most efficient communication methodology, The Nashville Number System.
All acoustic instruments welcome, including but not limited to: Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, Dobro, etc. No experience required, although a general understanding of your instrument’s chord shapes is helpful.
